About Me
A mid thirties, going bald and grey, half insane system administrator with a love for all things geek. Hopeless romantic with an old fashioned sense about values in life, combined with a bastardly outlook on things and lethal without coffee.
Not likely that reading my blog will reveal more or make sense to the casual reader. Stick around and peek inside, but carefully, more than one has been lost in the depths.
I might even consider creating some kind of FAQ in the future ;)
What will you find here
This blog is partly about who I am, what I do, but also why I do the things that I do. But perhaps more than anything it’s an constant ego-booster, and reminder of my 15 minutes of fame in the whirling mass of insanity.
Expect atleast the following: rants, thinks about geeking, linux and slackware, occasionally thoughtfull posts, humor (seldomly!) and other assorted bits of useless sprouted wisdom

FAQ
Q1: What is the “Closet of Doom”?
A1: The closet of doom is our storage space. Basically nothing more than a walk in cupboard in our hallway. It has become the dumping ground of anything we don’t have a current place for in our house hold. Rumours has it that the closet is closely modelled on the TARDIS. (i.e. it seems to hold a lot more space on the inside than out).
Q2: What is it with all those printers?
A2: As part of my general geekness, I love just playing around with hardware. But regarding the printers? well. It started with just one: A Hewlett Packard DeskJet 840C, this was a going away present from my work at Ordina. When I met liz she brought her printer alone, a little Cannon BubbleJet 2100. I then got hold of the Epson Stylus C-42UX, as I needed a working printer ASAP (printer cartridges for HP are notoriously expensive). This was f0llowed up with a printer I got from craig with his old computer. Then I got 2 more printers over freecycle . One huge beast of a workgroup printer, a Mannesman Tally 8104plus. and a smaller Hewlett Packard DeskJet 920 C. And from Maureen, I got a HP DeskJet 500. So all in all it made about seven of them. Ofcourse most of them are now on their way onto freecycle, which will leave me with 2 or 3 printers.
if you have another question you want to see to be added to the FAQ, just post a comment and I will add it. (I’ll remove the comment after I have updated the page)
:)
I might have another printer for you eventually when forced to ::shudder:: vista. I know.. I shouldn’t cure on your blog. I do apologise. ;-)
